Citec Engineering has signed a framework agreement with Alstom Transport SA. Alstom Transport is a multi-specialist rail transport solutions supplier. The company develops and markets the systems, equipment and services within the railway sector and is the global market leader in the high and very high speed train sector.

The 3-year agreement covers the Alstom Transport organization on a global level. The agreement means that Citec has become the approved supplier of engineering services to Alstom Transport. The work for Alstom is carried out by Citec Engineering Vehicles’ competence center in Oulu, Finland.

Although this agreement is new, Alstom and Citec have cooperated during last year. For instance, Citec has delivered expert services to Alstom in Salzgitter, Germany. regarding specific geographical areas, as well as for some special technical areas. Currently, Citec is involved in updates of drawings on the Pendolino trains for Alstom in Savigliano, Italy.

Alstom is interested in our knowledge in reaching maximum vehicle functionality in arctic conditions, as well as our experience within HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning).
