A newly founded company, Mervento Power Technology, and Citec have initiated a new business cooperation in cleantech.

The new owner of Mervento is a consortium of two Indonesian companies; Puri Usaha Group, a developer of power generation projects in Indonesia and Hero Intiputra Group, a company which invests in food manufacturing, trading and retail.

With the acquisition of Mervento, the consortium intends to develop the technology further in cooperation with Citec and use the leading edge technology and engineering skills in the Vaasa region to build world class wind farms in Asia. As of mid-August, Mervento Power Technology has moved into Citec’s head office at Silmukkatie in Vaasa.

“As Citec is a global engineering company providing services for the energy sector, I believe there are great joint business opportunities”, says Ingmar Sjöblad, Managing Director of Mervento. “Citec has extensive experience in power generation engineering and Mervento Power Technology has the technology for world class wind turbines – together the companies can further develop new offerings for the cleantech industry”, he concludes.

“In today’s business environment it is important to be flexible and look for new cooperation models. We look forward to working closely with Mervento in renewables, wind power, turbines and project development”, says Martin Strand, CEO of Citec.
