Project description

The purpose of this project, Shah Gas development, located in Abu Dhabi was to develop onshore sour gas reservoirs at Shah and to establish grass root gas processing facilities with a capacity to process 1,000 MMSCFD of sour gas with a view to ensure additional gas availability to the sales gas network.

Citec's scope

The scope of work was complete multi-discipline engineering services for Unit 731-734 Solvent Regeneration including piping, electrical, civil & instrumentation disciplines. The software tools used in the project are: SP3D, AGI32, Tekla, Caesar, SPR review, MAT3D, Foundation 3D and STAADpro.

The main challenge in project was the change in project commissioning schedule, one and half month shorter than original. Citec managed the tight schedule by adding more resources than planned to achieve the goal.
