Wärtsilä Energy has decided to increase its flexibility in close collaboration with its long-term engineering partner Citec. Wärtsilä is transferring certain mechanical & civil project engineering, project quality assurance and module & component change orders and product care activities to Citec as of October 1, 2021. Approximately 40 employees, located in Vaasa, Finland, will consequently be transferred as so-called old employees to Citec Oy Ab.
Wärtsilä and Citec will achieve substantial synergy advantages by developing the required competences together. With this way of working, Wärtsilä will increase its long-term flexibility and efficiency levels.
