Wärtsilä Gas Solutions has decided to prioritise their main efforts around its core disciplines and have searched for a model enabling higher flexibility within certain engineering disciplines. Personnel located in Asker, Norway, who are currently working with Technical documentation as well as P&ID Drafting, have consequently been offered employee contracts with Citec Norway. The number of personnel amounts to 11 persons.

“Both Wärtsilä and Citec have looked at synergy advantages in making the agreement. The technical documentation as well as P&ID drafting are processes and areas of high importance at Citec, whereas Wärtsilä’s focus is to develop their selected core competences in the long run. A stronger focus is an advantage for the personnel”, says Antti Kuokkanen, Vice President, Electronics, Entertainment and Processing, Wärtsilä Marine.

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions offers innovative and energy efficient systems and solutions related to several oil & gas segments. Wärtsilä Gas Solutions is located in Norway, Poland, UK, France, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Dubai, Korea, Singapore, China and US, and has approximately 600 employees/externals in total.

The new employees will be located at Citec’s office premises in Asker.

“We warmly welcome the employees to Citec. Our focus is to ensure a smooth and efficient integration for the benefit of the employees and the two companies”, says Nichlas Råtts, Vice President, Global Account, Citec.
