As of June 1, 2013, Gary Manders is appointed Managing Director for Citec Sweden.
Gary Manders, originally from the UK, has worked at Citec for five years in senior managerial positions. He has solid experience from leading and developing teams and functions at Citec as well as extensive experience of working in the customer interface. Gary Manders takes on the role as Managing Director in addition to his current role as Director for the global Process Industry & Manufacturing industry area. He will be based in Uppsala, Sweden.
Gary Manders comments on his appointment: “The focus forward is simple. Create business that profits both Citec and our customers. Growth for Citec in Sweden has traditionally been built on a road base of loyal customers providing local business, which we are happy for. This past year, we have put more focus onto aligning our Swedish organization within the Citec Group to open up global resourcing opportunities to our customers, old and new. Already we have several opportunities using our global organization for business in Sweden, but also offering the competence of our Swedish competences in customer projects abroad. We are also progressively expanding our Swedish operations into Norway. I look forward to being able to serve Citec in Sweden, but to lead with a global business approach”.
Gary Manders reports to Martin Strand, CEO of Citec Group. The current Managing Director, Michael Smirnoff, returns to working full-time as Director, Marketing & Communications for Citec Group. Michael Smirnoff will be based at Citec’s headquarters in Vaasa, Finland.
