The international engineering and information management consultancy Citec acquired M7 Offshore in 2013. Citec’s acquisition of M7 has proceeded according to all expectations and M7 Offshore is as of today a fully integrated company within Citec. The operations in Norway now functions under the full name Citec Norway AS, while the operations in Singapore now functions under the full name Citec Group Singapore Pte Ltd. Citec’s experience from the energy sector and strong growth within oil & gas engineering the last years, combined with M7’s entrance into the Citec family, sets a solid ground for further expansion and development of the oil & gas segment.

Citec utilises the heritage from M7 Offshore in a strong way on the Norwegian oil & gas market, but also towards Asia from its offices in Singapore and India. Citec has a particularly strong track-record as an oil & gas topside specialist, wide process competence and a solid FPSO track-record. Jointly Citec provides multi-discipline engineering experience as of 1984 via 1200 employees in nine countries located in Europe and in Asia. Approximately 350 of Citec’s employees have oil & gas industry project experience and by today, Citec has delivered projects to 109 countries in the world. Citec sees growth opportunities especially in different types of offshore vessels, other topsides, as well as LNG and pressure vessels.

“We continue to deliver oil & gas project expertise from Norway, but are substantially stronger via Citec’s international organisation and its vast experience”, says Nils-Erik Hannisdal, Managing Director of Citec Norway & Singapore. “We continue to operate via a strong local presence, and provide global cost-efficient topside oil & gas resourcing to large projects. We are now a one stop shop with a focused emphasis on speed and flexibility in our specialization – a complete oil & gas service provider within multi-discipline engineering, information and project management services. This is a clear benefit for our customers and I am proud to see this happen in reality in both Norway and Singapore”, Nils-Erik says.

Citec has now Norwegian offices in Asker (outside of Oslo), in Stavanger and Sandefjord areas from where we serve our customers. In Singapore; Citec has offices in International Business Centre at East Jurong. Citec is also present at the ONS fair in Stavanger during August 25-28, where Citec will launch its brand name and offering for the Norwegian market.
