As of May 1, Michael Smirnoff has been appointed Managing Director for Citec in Sweden. Michael will be based in Karlstad and reports to Martin Strand, CEO of Citec Group.
Michael brings in more than 15 years of experience of senior management roles, mainly from the marketing and communications area. Between 1996 and 2004 he was based and lived in Stockholm. Michael has worked for several international companies such as Nokia, where he held a position as Communications Manager for the Scandinavian countries. He is currently Director, Group Marketing & Communications at Citec Group.
“I am looking forward to this opportunity a lot”, says Michael. “Team Sweden is in an interesting phase when it comes to growth possibilities on the local market. There are a lot of industrial projects to be won. One of the key tasks now is to market our competence and offering even better than before,” he comments.
Michael takes on this position in addition to his current role as Director, Marketing & Communications for Citec Group. This shift in the driver’s seat for the Swedish operations now enables Hans Paulsson to fully focus on his global role as Director, IA Process Industry & Manufacturing.
