A 18 MW CHP biomass fuelled combined heat and power plant was built in Ekenäs Finland in 2009.

Citec's scope

Engineering management regarding pipe design on new boiler with turbine and condenser. Coordination towards electrical and instrument disciplines. Material and equipment specifications. Preparation of inquiries and specifications for procurement.

Process design and dimensioning of steam, condensate and DH water systems including:

• P&IDs, datasheets, lists, process descriptions
• Pumps
• Control valves
• Steam conditioning stations
• Mass and energy balances
• Pressure drop calculations
• Blow down capacity calculations
• Operating and maintenance strategy

Basic and detail pipe engineering with all the necessary documentation required by standards and notified body i.e. stress and flexibility analysis of piping, drawings, and MTO’s. Foundation layouts and penetration layouts, basic and detailed engineering of platforms and secondary pipe support structures with related structural analyses.
